If you have not seen, there is a great deal out there called Cash for Clunkers. It is part of the stimulus package and there is $1 billion for it.
It works like this, bring in your gas guzzler, average of 18 mpg or less, and buy a new efficient car. The government pays $4,500 towards your purchase. They are flying off the shelf.

Even in these bad times now the US sells about 1,000,000 cars per month….. A 250,000 boost is really not much. The $$$ from the government will be gone in a hurry!!!!!
